Prof. Ladan Awwal, PhD, FWACN, RN, RM

Prof. Ladan Awwal is a Professor in the Department of Nursing Science, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Nursing Science and a Masters in Disaster Risk Management from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a PhD in Nursing Studies from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.

He is an Honorary Associate Professor at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and previously served as Coordinator and Head of the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at Bayero University, Kano. He has held lecturing and research positions at the University of East London and the University of Nottingham.

His research interests include digital health, e-learning, global health, implementation science, mixed methods, and Q methodology. He is a Fellow of the West African College of Nursing and a registered nurse and midwife, and he presents regularly at national and international nursing and health workforce conferences.
