The need this program addresses

Public health professionals are trained to address population health challenges but often lack structured training in personal financial resilience. Workforce reductions following funding declines and shifting priorities have exposed gaps in financial preparedness, which are associated with stress, burnout, and reduced workforce stability.

What participants will be able to do

  • Describe the impact of financial instability on mental and physical health outcomes among public health professionals.
  • Identify key financial risks associated with grant-dependent and policy-driven employment structures.
  • Develop short- and long-term financial strategies, including savings, income diversification, and risk mitigation.
